Jamie Yelton Wins UARA Strutmaster.com 150

(Forest City, NC April 27th) Jamie Yelton felt like the first two races of the 2008 season had cheated him from victory. At Concord he was racing toward the front and got spun, creating a clutch problem and leaving him with a disapointed 5th place finish. At Motor Mile he was putting on a clinic and driving off in a tipical Yelton dominate fashion, and a distribitor gear broke and sent him to the pits. But, at Orange County Speedway, during the Strutmaster.com 150 Yelton was not going to be denied, leading 138 laps, driving off to his 7th UARA-STARS Victory and 33 Win of his short Late Model career.

Driving his Marlowe Racing Chassis, Kevin Blanks powered, Blake Carburetors, Circle Wheels, ARP Racing Bodies, Reed Suspension Engineering, Breaden Oil, Auto Image, GM Performance Parts, Everett Chevrolet, Buick, Pontiac, GMC Chevrolet Impala SS to Victory Lane, Yelton feels this is a start of good runs that will put him atop of the UARA points where he belongs. " I want to thank all my guys and David King my crew cheif, these guys dont give up. And what can you say about the best racing chassis out here, Greg Marlowe is awesome, he builds the best." Yelton also stated " the car drove so good, we changed alot in practice and then went back to the way it was set up when we got here. Kevin's motor was flawless, it's by far the best I have had. This was a great race for us, and the UARA did a great job in putting on a show for the fans and those Goodyear tires were awesome. I also want to thank Paddy Rodenbeck and his family for their support. Paddy has a come along way and he is only going to get better. This team loves to win and I hope this is a start of a good streak of finishes for both Paddy and myself".

Jamie and his crew better know as "The Forest City Badboys" are looking forward to Bristol Motor Speedway, May 17th. Jamie has finished as high as 5th there and looks to improve on that finish. This is by far one of the biggest races of the season for Late Model drivers, and you can bet that the best drivers in the nation will be there to feel the excitement of the "Worlds Fastest 1/2 Mile".

The UARA-STARS is a Late Model touring series that visit local short tracks in the south to race the highly popular UARA drivers against locals stars who want to test their skills against the best. This combination brings fans to their feet for 150 laps and leaves everyone talking about the out come for weeks.

(May 13th Hickory, NC)  Jamie Yelton and his Yelton Motorsports teammate Paddy Rodenbeck, are looking forward to May 17th when the UARA-STARS will race the high banks of the ultra fast Bristol Motor Speedway. Proudly known as the "Worlds Fastest 1/2 Mile" the UARA has visited the speedway four times now and has produced a different winner each time. Yelton feels like this is his year to shine. Coming off a big win at Orange County Speedway a few weeks ago, Jamie loves to carry momentum. The race at Bristol is as big as it comes for Late Model racers. This year there is almost 50 drivers pre entered and the number can easily rise.
Jamie looks to David King to lead his crew of the "Forest City Badboys" to each UARA race. David's record as a crew chief is unbelievable. In 2004 Jamie finished runner up in the hunt for the UARA National Championship, this year he looks to improve on that.
Paddy Rodenbeck came up from the highly popular Legends cars and has proved he can race with the best drivers around. Paddy has had some great finishes and some late race misfortunes has keep him out of some top five finishes. Paddy will experience Bristol for the first time in a Late Model this weekend and don't look for him to be intimidated. Paddy has a driving style and attitude that many drivers would love to have. His ability to adapt quick and go to the front has made some exciting for races making him a big fan favorite.
Jamie and Paddy will have their Marlowe Racing Chassis, Kevin Blanks powered, Blake Carburetor, Circle Wheels, ARP Racing Bodies, GM Performance Parts, Everett Chevrolet Buick Pontiac GMC, Tiger Rearends, Auto Magic, Breaden Oil, Dirtwrap sponsored Chevrolet Impala SS set on go when the green flag drops for the UARA Thompson Metal 150.
The UARA is a Late Model touring sereis that has been a great starting point for some top drivers in Cup, Trucks and Nationwide Series. Drivers like Denny Hamlin, Steven Wallace, Eric McClure, Timothy Peters and Woody Howard all have won races with the UARA series.
Look for some of the top drivers in 2008 to head up the ladder to the big leagues. The UARA is perfect to gain the experience while traveling to different tracks and learning to adapt quickly.
